Don't give up

Good morning guys.

Wake up, it's the first of the month!

For all those who brought the new year in with a bang and then fell off. For those who brought it in rough, picked themselves up and then fell off again, for every one who thought they were doing great and then realized it was now July and they've really fallen off the wagon. Can I just tell y'all, PLEASE don't give up.

I know it's been so rough on a lot of people. Relationships, work, kids, school, anything else in between, it's tough but don't quit. Take a breather, get a drink with a friend, go out for a healty distraction but don't disregard the issue and don't give up.

This journey of having a positive mindset can be so difficult specially when you get bombarded with so many issues that surround you. Days can get so discouraging, it can even get depressing but continue on at least with the mindset that great things take A LOT of hard work and if you want to get to greatness your hard work and dedication will be very essential.

One of the greatest things you can do is call upon the Lord. He's waiting on you to let Him in to do amazing things in your life. A lot of us want change but don't know where to start. We reach rock bottom and don't know how to get back up. We reach extremely low emotional moments, depressing and desperate times full of hopelessness and still refuse to call on God with a complete open heart.

Has your ego not allowed you to see that without God things are impossible and unreachable? Stop being stubborn, stop being prideful, stop continuing to do things by your own strengths. Have we not failed enough already by doing it our own way and alone? What more will it take for us to surrender to Him and just allow for His will to prevail in our lives.

Take away the idea that every single thing happens for a reason. That's not all necessarily true. It may be a comforting thought but not entirely a correct one. When we surrender to the will of God, when we walk in obedience in accordance to His will there will be trials and tribulations along the way to HELP us develop character and spiritual maturity along the way. When we ARENT walking in His will we can't sit here and say everything that happens to us was because it was according to His plan. There are so many things that happen in our lives simply because that's what WE allow.

Do you really think God wanted you to have your heart broken? No. Did you really think He wanted you to get pregnant at a young age and out of wedlock? Hell no. Those things happened because we were too stubborn to call upon the Lord and His guidance. He will however, use all those negatives and turn them into postives.

You got your heart broken, ok now you know better so you learn to wait on God to start working in your life FIRST before you go and make a life with someone else.

You got pregnant, well now you have a new perspective on life and whole new one to have the chance to raise with better morals than yours and with His guidance. That life, God is going to use too, for His will. Make sure you're doing all you positively can to raise that life God entrusted you with and guide them to the Kingdom.

You get what I'm saying?

Stay positive, trust God, LOOK for Him and you WILL find Him..

Matthew 7:7 says,
"Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you." (KJV)

ASK. SEEK. KNOCK.
And don't grow weary.. God's got a plan for you

I know tough times can have us weak in spirit and have us turning to distractions that still leave us feeling empty.. I'm super guilty of that, but look to the Word of God instead,

"The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." (Psalm 34:18 NIV)

Start with this and remember that there will ALWAYS be an existing reason for you to be thankful.

The more conscious you are about this principal, the less you'll believe you are a victim. Therefore, no longer live like one.

The solution to an issue is change from a conscious mind.

Work toward happiness on a deeper level; take action effortlessly, feel joy in what you do, make sure your actions produce good results.

Don't pretend to be better than you really are. Don't fall into the trap of portraying one image for the world and another for God. Don't pretend, but instead work on things that will produce a positive change in your life.

And don't be so hard on yourself. Like me smh.. Don't do it. It's hell. Instead, give yourself credit for what you're doing and the progress you've made. Just as long as you're not walking in deceit with yourself and others. We all fall off the wagon every once in a while but make sure honesty with yourself and others is a priority. No one likes a phony.

And careful with those people who call themselves real.. Why? Because sadly, there are people out there who are just good at being "REAL" fake instead of real honest.

One of many good principals in the Bible,

"Do to others as you would have them do to you.." Matt 7:12

And remember this, don't ask for commitment and faithfulness you aren't willing to give back.

Stay humbled people. Love, cherish and respect others and keep a positive outlook on everything.

Yours truly,
